Your family

You’re the primary contact for your group.

# of campers in this family only (not the entire site), including kids.

Your group

One registration per site group — the other families don’t register separately.

4 people in 1 family. Sites hold up to 8 people.

Site needs

Only one per site — partner families sleep in tents.

What counts as an RV?

Anything you'll sleep in that parks on the campsite counts: motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, pop-ups, truck campers, and camper vans (including converted Sprinter-style vans). Only one is allowed per site, so partner families sleep in tents. Enter the length of the RV or trailer itself, not including the tow vehicle.

Site preferences

Optional and not guaranteed. If two groups want the same site, the earlier registration gets it and the other gets their next choice or the closest open site.

We’ll do our best.

Guidelines & agreement

Parent guidelines & agreement

We're excited to have your family join us for a fun, safe, family-friendly outdoor adventure. Please read these guidelines and agree on behalf of everyone in your group.

  1. Supervision & behavior. Children must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. Families are expected to be respectful and safe toward fellow campers, volunteers, wildlife, and park staff. Disruptive or unsafe behavior will not be tolerated.
  2. Accommodations & gear. Families provide their own tents, sleeping bags, food, and camping gear. Come prepared for changing weather, insects, and hot or cold temperatures; a first-aid kit is a good idea.
  3. Food & meals. The PTA does not provide meals, beverages, or snacks. Please don't bring glass containers.
  4. Alcohol. Follow park rules on alcohol (at Texas State Parks, public display or consumption is prohibited, and all outdoor areas are public).
  5. Campfires & safety. Fires only in designated fire rings, attended at all times, and only when no burn ban is in effect. Children may not be left unattended near fires or grills. Flashlights and proper footwear are required after dark.
  6. Wildlife & environment. Don't feed or approach wildlife. Leave no trace: pack out or bin all trash before bed. Stay on marked trails.
  7. Emergencies. Call 911, then notify a campout coordinator.

Agreement. I have read and agree to these guidelines and the park rules () on behalf of everyone in my group. I understand that I am responsible for ensuring my child(ren) are supervised at all times, and that participation is voluntary. I release HISD, Travis Elementary, the Travis Elementary PTA, and its representatives from liability for injuries or accidents that may occur during this event.

(PTA: please have this wording reviewed before first use.)
